Takehito Koyasu Has Walked This Earth for Half a Century

One of the most prolific voice actors of his generation, Takehito Koyasu has lent his voice to some of anime's most memorable characters... from the pretty to the pretty weird. And today, he celebrates his 50th birthday.

Koyasu's own thoughts on his birthday were fairly straightforward, thanking his fans for their support and promising to keep working hard for them.

And even if you aren't familiar with his name, you definitely know his voice. Here's a small sample of the characters Koyasu has played:

Touga Kiryuu - Revolutionary Girl Utena

Rezo the Red Priest - Slayers

Dio Brando - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

Zechs Merquise - Gundam Wing

Excalibur - Soul Eater

Bobobo-Bo Bo-Bobo

This is only a tiny fraction of the roles he's played... and not even all of his well known ones! Do you have a favorite Koyasu role? Let us know in the comments!
