"Isekai Shokudo" Teaser Trailer Welcomes Customers To a World of Fantastic Food

A new teaser trailer is now available online for Isekai Shokudo (known in English as Restaurant to Another World), an upcoming TV anime based on the gourmet fantasy light novels written by Junpei Inuzuka and illustrated by Katsumi Enami about a Western-style diner whose doors sometimes open onto magical realms.

In addition to the teaser, a new cast member was also announced: Saori Ōnishi will play Kuro, a shape-shifting black dragon of immense divine power who visits the Western Cuisine Cat Restaurant and who becomes obsessed with their chicken curry dish. Kuro eventually becomes a part-time waitress so she can continue having access to the curry.

Isekai Shokudo is directed by Masato Jinbo and feature animation by SILVER LINK. The story focuses on the Western Cuisine Cat Restaurant, which during the week is an ordinary eatery. On Saturdays, though, the restaurant's doors serve as a portal to another world, and visitors from fantastical realms can enjoy the experience of Western-style cooking.

Isekai Shokudo will broadcast in Japan according to the following schedule:

  • TV Tokyo: every Monday during the 25:35 time slot beginning on July 03, 2017.
  • BS Japan: every Saturday during the 24:30 time slot beginning on July 08, 2017.
  • AT-X: every Thursday during the 20:00 time slot beginning on July 06, 2017, with repeat broadcasts on Saturdays at 12:00, Sundays at 06:00, and Tuesdays at 04:00.

(Please note that some Japanese broadcast schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming of the previous day, so for example the 25:35 time slot on Monday is actually at 1:35 AM JST on Tuesday morning.)
