"Captain Tsubasa" Stage Experience Gets Sporty New Visual

The beloved soccer manga Captain Tsubasa recently launched plans for its own smartphone game, and its stage show has been in the work for quite some time. If you're wondering how exactly one would depict the play style of this series onstage... well, their new key visual might give us a clue.

The new image shows off our leads in costume, as well as some impressive visual art. The show, being touted as a "super experience stage show," will combine martial arts, dancing, and stage illusions to duplicate the out-of-this-world visuals of the original. The creators tease that fans will be able to see moves like the Skylab Hurricane and Sankaku Tobi Save brought to life before their eyes onstage.

The show will run from August 18 to September 3 at Tokyo's Zepp Blue Theater Roppongi.
