The weird and over-the-top world of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable comes to life this summer thanks to visionary madman Takashi Miike. And also thanks to Miike, it will first be seen at two of the world's biggest festivals for weird and wonderful international films.
The movie's first stop is the 17th annual Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival, a Swiss event for fantastic film, Asian cinema, and digital creation. The festival runs from June 30 to July 8. Miike will be present for the film's world premiere.
After that, the film hits North America for the 21st annual Fantasia International Film Festival. Taking place in Montreal from July 13 to August 2, the event is a highly rated film festival among directors in the industry. JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has been entered as a competitive piece.
As for its home turf, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable will be premiering in Japan on August 4.
