Have you ever wondered what being a magical girl must look like from the perspective of an innocent bystander? A new "magical girl bystander gag anime" entitled Seizei Ganbare! Mahou Shoujo Kurumi aims to find out.
In Seizei Ganbare! Mahou Shoujo Kurumi ("Do Your Absolute Best! Magical Girl Kurumi"), Kurumi Azuchi-Momoyama is an ordinary 14 year old high school girl until one day a Tazmanian Devil-type Angel named Debirun recruits her to be a Beautiful Magical Girl Dinosaur Angel Warrior. Afterwards, Kurumi dispatches the minions of the evil organization, Darkness Whales, with numerous blood-soaked weapons. All of this is witnessed by her bemused classmates, a trio of boys who are the protagonists of the show.
The cast of Seizei Ganbare! Mahou Shoujo Kurumi includes:
- Yū Hayashi as Kiyoshi Suzuki.
- Wataru Hatano as Isamu Takahashi.
- Takuma Terashima as Shigeru Sato.
- Yurika Kubo as Prima Pink / Kurumi Azuchi-Momoyama.
- And Kanta (Time Machine #3) as The Great Big God of Darkness.
Seizei Ganbare! Mahou Shoujo Kurumi is written and directed by Keisuke Matsumoto and features character designs by Wataru Uekusa and animation by Pie in the sky. The series will broadcast on AbemaTV, a Japanese streaming channel web service, beginning in the Summer season of 2017.
