Kings of kawaii Sanrio are teaming up with music group rockin'on to produce Deeky & Carina, a short form TV anime about a tough-looking but mild wolf and a cute-looking but wild squirrel teaming up to form a rock and roll band.
In Deeky & Carina, Deeky (voiced by Takuya Eguchi) is a wolf whose wild appearance belies his pure-hearted and slightly gossipy moe nature. Carina (voiced by Arisa Date) is a squirrel whose soft and cuddly appearance hides the black and beating heart of a hard rock monster. Together they form a band to compete in a rock music competition.
Deeky & Carina is directed by Ryousuke Aoike and features screenplays by Tōru Hosokawa. The series will join TV Tokyo's JCD (JAPAN COUNTDOWN) Short Anime programming block beginning on May 07, 2017. Each episode will be approximately 45 seconds in length.
