Four New "your name." Special Edition Releases on the Horizon

If you're one of the millions of fans of Makoto Shinkai's your name. and want to bring it home, animate international has you covered. They're currently offering four different special-edition releases of the film.

 

 

Each of the four releases will include a special B6-sized pub mirror, featuring chibi art of Mitsuha and Taki.

 

 

The DVD Standard Edition will consist of one disc containing the film. The disc also features bonus footage from the opening day celebratory special, the English theme song, a trailer collection, and a filmography of Makoto Shinkai. It will sell for 5,000 yen.

 

The Blu-Ray Standard Edition will contain the same material in BD format and sell for 6,000 yen.

 

The Blu-Ray Special Edition includies the Standard disc listed above, as well as two bonus discs. The first disc will contain a video storyboard animatic and a "Making Of" feature. The second will consist of a visual commentary (featuring Ryunosuke Kamiki, Mone Kamishiraishi, and RADWIMPS), unused voice clips, a clean opening, the Suntory Tennensui collab commercial, and the music video of "Sparkle." It will sell for 9,000 yen.

 

And the Blu-Ray Collector's Edition features all of the above plus two more discs: one of the film in 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray, and a third bonus disc with event footage and a video lecture by Shinkai on the role of stories in the modern age. The full set will come in at 13,200.

 

All four versions of the release come out on July 26 via animate.
