Teenage romance is tricky in a new teaser trailer released for Love and Lies (known as Koi to Uso in Japan), an upcoming live-action film based on the speculative fiction / romance manga by Musawo about a world in which the government of Japan decides the marriage partners for young people when they turn sixteen.
The Love and Lies live-action film is directed by Takeshi Furusawa. The film involves a new story with a different love triangle from the original manga: in the movie, Aoi Nisawa (played by Aoi Morikawa) is in love with her childhood friend, Yuto Shiba (played by Takumi Kitamura), but the government has assigned her to marry Sosuke Takachiho (played by Kanta Sato).
Love and Lies will be released in Japanese theaters in the Fall season of 2017.
