Aniplex's official online store Aniplex+ today starts accepting pre-orders for a 1/8 scale pre-painted PVC & ABS figure of Asuna wearing her original costume in the Sword Art Online The Movie: Ordinal Scale film released in February 2017. The 19,000 yen (about 170 US dollars) item is supervised by the anime's character designer/chief animation director Shingo Adachi, and is based on a newly-drawn illustration by him. Pre-orders for the new Aniplex+-limited item will be accepted till October 9, 2017, and its scheduled shipping date is April 2018.
This Asuna figure's painted sample will be also displayed at the upcoming Anime Expo 2017 event to be held this weekend between July 1 and 4.
