Sentai Filmworks Licenses "Battle Girl High School"

Sentai Filmworks has kicked off its Summer 2017 simulcast plans with Battle Girl High School. The anime adaptation, based on colopl’s action RPG, will start streaming in July 2017. The series will soon be available to stream exclusively on HIDIVE for the Summer 2017 simulcast season, with a home video release to follow.

They describe the series:

Set in 2045, humanity struggles to survive in a world overrun by mysterious invaders called the Irousu. The Earth's only hope lies with the students of Shinjugamine Girls' Academy, a school where Star Guardians train to fight the Irousu. Together, these brave girls work to develop their skills to fight against the invaders… provided they can pass class first!

Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman, Active Raid) will direct, with series composition by Yosuke Kuroda (Hayate the Combat Butler, High School of the Dead, My Hero Academia). Animation production will be handled by SILVER LINK (Chivalry of a Failed Knight, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya).
