You may have noticed that, though a second Owarimonogatari (Final Story) anime, adapting "Mayoi Hell," "Hitagi Rendezvous," and "Ougi Dark," from the twelfth part of Nisio Isin's Monogatari modern folklore mystery series, was announced for summer, promotion for the project has been a bit light as the July TV season approaches. It turns out that's because this isn't getting a cour-long broadcast.
According to a Niconico Live stream, the anime will be shown in a two-night special on August 12 & 13.
The previous 12-episode adaptation with "Ougi Formula," "Sodachi Riddle" and "Sodachi Lost" ran in fall 2015.
