More Spooky Residents Appear for "Youkai Apart no Yuuga no Nichijou"

 

The roster of humans and otherworldly beings living together in a traditional Japanese boarding house continues to fill out with seven cast additions announced for Youkai Apart no Yuuga no Nichijou, an upcoming TV anime based on the supernatural comedy light novel series by Hinowa Kouzuki. The new cast members include:

 

 

Toshiyuki Morikawa as Ryu-san, an unassuming psychic whose real name is unknown.

 

 

Tomokazu Sugita as Furuhon-ya, a used bookstore salesman who travels the world looking for strange and rare books. Furuhon-ya's real name is also unknown.

 

 

Shô Hayami as Kottou-ya, an antique store owner who tries to sell all manner of unusual things. Kottou-ya's real name is also unknown.

 

 

Kōji Yusa as Sato-san, a spirit who works for a major cosmetics company.

 

 

Rie Kugimiya as Kuri and Mutsumi Tamura as Shiro, a young boy ghost and a ghost dog who is Kuri's his best friend, respectively.

 

 

And Takehito Koyasu as Fool, a magical book guide who speaks and gestures in an exaggerated, grandiose manner.

 

 

No voice role was announced for as Ooya-san, the landlord of the youkai apartments.

 

Additionally, the OP / ED theme performers have been announced for Youkai Apart no Yuuga no Nichijou. The opening theme, entitled "Good Night Mare", will be performed by Lozareena. The ending theme, entitled "Nichijou-shiki Broken down", will be performed in-character by Yushi Inaba (voiced by Atsushi Abe) and Mizuki Hase (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura).

 

 

The story of Youkai Apart no Yuuga no Nichijou follows Yushi Inaba, a young man who is taken in by his relatives after his parents die. When Yushi is old enough to attend high school, he decides to move into a boarding house so as not to be a burden on his family, but the boarding house he moves into is co-ed...that is, its residents include both human beings and denizens of the spirit world!

 

 


The original Youkai Apart no Yuuga na Nichijou light novels are published by Kodansha, and a manga adaptation with artwork by Waka Miyama is also serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Sirius manga magazine. The Youkai Apart no Yuuga no Nichijou TV anime is directed by Mitsuo Hashimoto and features animation by Shin-Ei Animation. The series will broadcast on Tokyo MX, Yomiuri TV, and BS11 beginning on July 03, 2017.
