Live-Action "Cowboy Bebop" TV Series In Development

Entertainment journal Variety reports that a live-action Cowboy Bebop TV series is being developed by Tomorrow Studios, a partnership between ITV Studios and Marty Adelstein (Prison Break, Teen Wolf).  The project is being executive produced by the anime's Sunrise Inc. as well as Midnight Radio, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, and Matthew Weinberg. Midnight Radio consists of Josh Appelbaum, Andre Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg.

Chris Yost (Thor: The Dark World, Thor: Ragnarok - head writer on The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, also various Marvel comics), will write the adaptation.

Crunchyroll describes the 1997 TV anime series:

The Bebop crew is just trying to make a buck. This motley lot of intergalactic loners teams up to track down fugitives and turn them in for cold hard cash. Spike is a hero whose cool façade hides a dark and deadly past. The pilot Jet is a bruiser of a brute who can’t wait to collect the next bounty. Faye Valentine is a femme fatale prone to breaking hearts and separating fools from their money. Along for the ride are the brilliant, but weird, hacker Ed and a super-genius Welsh Corgi named Ein.

Along with all the past talk of a Hollywood movie, Shinichirō Watanabe once tried his hands at a (short) live-action Cowboy Bebop...
