Japan Gets a "Dragon Quest XI" Nintendo Direct Stream on June 21

Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time may be coming to Sony's console, as well, but it has a bunch of features that will only be available on the Nintendo 3DS version. Those will be the focus of a new Nintendo Direct video presentation, which is set to stream in Japan on June 21 starting at 8:00pm JST.

We still don't have much information on the planned Switch version, but at the moment it seems this presentation will be 3DS-only.

You can see more footage from both the PS4 and 3DS versions thanks to Square Enix's recent Countdown Carnival event in Nagoya. Skip to the 26-minute mark or so for gameplay, starting with the Mysterious Forge feature on 3DS. PS4 footage follows with a look at horse racing and the Casino at around 42 minutes deep.

Dragon Quest XI launches in Japan on July 29.
