"Ultraman Festival 2017" Encourages Cross-Generational Bonding

The 27th annual "Ultraman Festival", an exhibition that celebrates the Ultra series of tokusatsu TV shows produced by Tsuburaya Productions, is coming in July and August to the Sunshine City venue in Higashiikebukuro, Toshima Ward, Tokyo, Japan, and this year the theme of the event is "the bonds of parents and children".

Family togetherness with a heroic twist is encouraged through attractions such as the famous Ultraman "battle diorama" and other photoshoot locations, including a 3.6 meter (11.8 feet) display of Ultra Seven and Ultraman Zero posing together (and parents and children are invited to pose along). A live-action stage show featuring an audience participation gimmick called "Ultra Flash" is also a key attraction.

The "Ultraman Festival 2017" event is divided into two parts. The first part, entitled "Cutting through Fate - The Battle of Light and Darkness", runs from July 21 - August 07, 2017, while the second part, entitled "Our Wings! The Ultrahawk Blasts Off", runs from August 09 - 28, 2017. Advanced tickets to the event range in price from 1200 yen ($10.55 US) to 1900 yen ($16.70 US) for adults.
