"Teekyu" Returns for 9th Season of Non-Tennis Fun in July of 2017

Oddball short-form TV anime Teekyu is returning for a triumphant 9th season in July of 2017, and the official website for the series is whetting fans appetites for non-tennis related nonsense with a new key visual and information about the show's Japanese broadcast and OP / ED themes.

Teekyu season 9 will kick off in July of 2017 on Tokyo MX and Sun TV. The as-yet-untitled opening theme will be performed by Yui Watanabe in character as Yuri Oshimoto, the put-upon leader of the tennis club. Earth Star Dream will perform the ending theme, entitled "Kaiun! Shoufuku! Enten-uta" ("Better Fortune! Good Luck Charm! A Blazing-Hot Song").

Crunchyroll currently streams the previous 8 seasons of Teekyu, and describes the series as follows:

"The series follows the hilarious everyday routines of four girls in the Kameido High tennis club who, on occasion, actually play some tennis."
