Takashi Nakamura's 1st 3DCG Short "Ylion and Callysia" to be Screened at SSFF & ASIA 2017

Ylion and Callysia, a seven-minute and 28-second anime short directed by Takashi Nakamura (the director of A TREE OF PALME and Fantastic Children, the animation director of Mirai Keisatsu Urashiman and AKIRA) is confirmed to be screened at the upcoming Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2017 event in Tokyo and Yokohama in June.

This is the first full 3DCG work for the internationally acclaimed animator/director. It is based on Nakamura's original story, and he also provided the screenplay, designs, and storyboards. Shirogumi (Attack on Titan live-action films, Shin Godzilla) works on anime production and its Hiroyuki Yoshida serves as CG director.

Story description:

Calysia and Ylion are very close siblings. One day, Calysia was kidnapped because their father tried to

catch a unicorn. After 10 years Ylion grew up and trained as a warrior. He left to go to the hanging garden
