Sugoi! You Must Have Photographed "Kemono Friends" Collaboration With God of Manga's "Phoenix!"

While most Kemono Friends are based on factually existing animals, not all of them are. Tsuchinoko is a Japanese cryptid, or UMA ("Unidentified Mysterious Animal") as they're known locally. With this extra bit of freedom, Kemono Friends original designer Mine Yoshizaki (also Sgt. Frog author) was tapped to draw a Phoenix, specifically the one that appeared in the omnibus "life's work" of pioneering "God of Manga" Osamu Tezuka - creator of the phenomenal Astro Boy manga, which was adapted into the first TV anime.

The new Friend appeared at the "Osamu Tezuka's Handsome Beauty - Elegant -" exhibition, held at the Hankyu Umeda department store from March 29 to April 10.

Merchandise was sold at Tokyo Atom (formerly known as the Tokyo Anime Center Official Shop), and with the Golden Week holiday travels, she's getting photographed.
