Ever wanted a career in the world of light novel publishing? Kadokawa may have your opportunity: their MF Bunko J imprint has just released a call for editors.
The Re:Zero and No Game No Life publisher has put out an open call for full-time editors to handle book and multimedia development for their various titles. The job will involve planning for new series, negotiating with the creators, planning meetings, seeking out new talent, and (of course) checking and proofreading.
Applicants are not required to have industry experience, but familiarity with Adobe software, some experience in clerical work, and knowledge of Twitter and Pixiv would be considered useful. Above all, they are looking for applicants with a genuine love for anime and light novels.
The position is full-time with a salary of 240,000 yen per month, and benefits include paid holidays and maternity leave.
