Yet another impressive voice actor has joined the team bringing high-stakes gambling manga Kakegurui to life: Miyuki Sawashiro, most recently known for taking on the role of Fujiko Mine in the Lupin III franchise, joins the cast.
Sawashiro will be appearing as Kirari Momobami, the Student Council President of Hyakkaou Private Academy. She's also the nemesis of Yumeko Jabami, the protagonist played by Saori Hayami (Haruka Ogasawara, Sound! Euphonium).
Based on the manga originally run in Gangan Joker, Kakegurui focuses on an elite school where the pecking order is decided not by athletics or academics, but by gambling. The sons and daughters of the wealthy play high-stakes games where they learn to read their opponents, and the losers don't turn out well. But Yumeko arrives on the scene, she decides to show her fellow students how it's done.
Kakegurui premieres this July.
