Shibuya Parco, a shopping mall in Shibuya known for its galleries and fashionable stores, is creating a gigantic mural dedicated to the artwork of Katsuhiro Otomo's classic cyberpunk manga, Akira.

The mural will run along a 63 meter (207 feet) stretch of exterior wall at the Shibuya Parco building in Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan, which is currently undergoing construction. The first section of the mural, featuring Kaneda and his iconic motorcycle, was unveiled on May 17, 2017.
The mural is planned to be completed by 2019, which is the year in which the story of the Akira manga and anime theatrical film takes place.
