"Made in Abyss" Dives Into Adventure on Japanese TV in July

 

The official broadcasting information has been announced for the Japanese release of Made in Abyss, an upcoming TV anime based on the fantasy web comic about adventurers who explore a bottomless rift in search of treasure. Made in Abyss will broadcast on AT-X, Tokyo MX, TV Aichi, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, Saga TV, and BS11. The series will debut beginning on Friday, July 07, 2017.

 

 

The original Made in Abyss web manga by Akihito Tukushi is serialized in Takeshobo's Web Comic Gamma digital magazine. The TV anime adaptation is directed by Masayuki Kojima and features animation by Kinema Citrus.

 

 

The story of Made in Abyss is set in a world where adventurers known as Cave Raiders explore a gigantic, bottomless chasm known as the Abyss in search of mysterious relics. Rico, an orphaned 12 year old girl, wishes to become a famous Cave Raider like her late mother. One day Rico meets a strange robot boy named Regu who might be able to help her in her quest.
