Gundam World 2017 Brings You Face-to-Face with Giant Robots

If you've ever wanted to come face-to-face with a Gundam or step onto the deck of the White Base, Sapporo is the place to be. This year's Gundam World exhibit runs through this Sunday, and giant props and models allow you to step into the world of the classic giant robot series.

One of the most stunning models this year is a 1:1 scale battle damaged RX-78-2 head. And that isn't the only life-sized prop you can encounter. There's also a faithful reproduction of Bright Noa's White Base seats... though we recommend you try not to climb on the exhibits (as tempting as it looks).

Also on-site are 1/10-scale replicas of both RX-0 Unicorn and RX-0[N] Unicorn Banshee Norn, as well as Exia, Dynames, Kyrios, and Virtue from Gundam 00.

Admission is free, with a food corner available from which to purchase drinks and snacks. There is also a variety of exclusive Gunpla kits for sale while supplies last.

Gundam World 2017 takes place in the Atrium Room of Sapporo Factory. The exhibit closes this Sunday at 6 PM.
