Bandai's official online store Premium Bandai today started accepting exclusive pre-orders for smartphone cases featuring an illustration of Ichigo Hoshimiya, the protagonist of the first two seasons of Sunrise's idol-themed TV anime series Aikatsu! for August 2017 release. The Ichigo art holding a stuffed doll of Angely Bear, the mascot of her brand in the show, "Angely Sugar," is newly drawn by the TV anime character designer Hiroko Yauchi. The price for its general type is 4,82 yen, and that for the iPhone6s/6 and iPhone7 type is 2,160 yen. Pre-orders will be accepted till June 19.
The original TV anime series of Aikatsu! based on Bandai's card arcade game of the same name was aired for 178 episodes from October 2012 to March 2016. Now a new series featuring different characters and settings (not a direct sequel to the original), Aikatsu Stars! has been entering into its second season since this April.
