"The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls" Latest Single Outsells "Love Live! Sunshine!!" AZALEA's 2nd

According to the latest Oricon sales report, "Ankira Kyousoukyoku" performed by Anzu Futaba (CV: Hiromi Igarashi) and Kirari Moroboshi (Rei Matsuzaki), the 11th single from "The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls Starlight Master" series sold 49,000 copies in its first week of release, ranking 2nd in the weekly single sales chart.

 

The top-selling single in the "Starlight Master" series is the 3rd single "Hi-Fi☆Days" performed by Chie Sasaki (Asaka Imai), Momoka Sakurai (Haruka Terui), Nina Ichihara (Misaki Kuno), Kaoru Ryuzaki (Natsumi Haruse), and Miria Akagi (Tomoyo Kurosawa), which was released on June 22, 2016, and sold an impressive 89,176 copies in its first week and 107,720 copies in total.

 

Last week's top-selling single, "Étude wa Ikkyoku Dake" (Only One Song for Étude), the second ED theme song for the ongoing THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS Theater TV anime, still sold

25,000 copies in its second week, ranking 5th in the single chart.

 

Meanwhile, "GALAXY HidE and SeeK," the second single of AZALEA, one of the three mini-units in

the Love Live! Sunshine!! franchise, also released in Japan on the same day, sold 27,000 copies and

raked 4th in the weekly single sales chart, which was the highest first week position among the three

units.

 

AZALEA consists of Kanan Matsuura (CV:Nanaka Suwa), Dia Kurosawa (Arisa Komiya), and Hanamaru

Kunikida (Kanako Takatsuki), and their 1st single "Torikoriko PLEASE!!" in May 2016 sold 24,621 copies

in its first week (46,832 in total) and ranked 7th in the weekly single chart.
