Mitsuru Adachi's "Touch" Heroine VA Appears in His "MIX" Latest Volume CM

To promote the release of the latest 11th volume of Mitsuru Adachi's high school baseball-temed manga MIX today in Japan, Shogakukan starts airing a 15-second CM starring 55-year-old voice actress Noriko Hidaka, who voiced the main herione Minami Asakura in the anime adaptation of one of his representative works, Touch, in the mid-1980s. In the end of the CM, she says, "I wonder if Minami-chan will appear?" Also in the background, you can find a person look like the author Adachi.

Hidaka is well known as the voice of Akane Tendo in Ranma 1/2, Noriko Takaya in Gunbuster, and Satsuki Kusakabe in My Neighbor Totoro. Her most recent anime character is Ursula Callistis in Little Witch Academia.

MIX is set 30 years after the story of Touch and features the baseball club members at the same Meisei High School, though the two main characters of Touch have not been directly attached to the story

yet. The male protagonist Tatsuya Uesugi recently appeared in the videotape that MIX's protagonist

Touma Tachibana watched, and the episode is included in the 11th volume.
