Live-Action "Anthem of the Heart" Speaks Out in New PV

The live-action adaptation of Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda/The Anthem of the Heart opens in Japan in just over a month. And to get us ready, there's a new 90-second PV showing the lead cast in action, speaking -- or not, in some cases.

The story stars Jun, a girl who lost her ability to speak after believing she cause her parents' divorce. But once in high school, her new friends help her find a way around her "curse" -- singing. Together with three of her classmates, she stages a musical based on her story. The film follows the four students' lives together at school and romantic entanglements.

 

 

The film is directed by Kimi ni Todoke director Naoto Kumazawa, and stars Sexy Zone's Kento Nakajima, Beppinsan actress Jun Naruse, E-girls member Anna Ishii, and newcome Kanichiro.

 

The Anthem of the Heart opens in Japan on July 22.
