Japanese Folk Heroes Come Alive in New "God Wars" Trailer

Upcoming tactical JRPG GOD WARS Future Past brings to life a huge roster of personalities from Japanese history, mythology, and folklore. Their latest trailer, released today, introduces you to a few more familiar faces from the world of legend: Momotaro, Amaterasu, Susanoo, and many others.

 

 

Ookunushi (mythology): Another main character on Kaguya's side. The Prince of Izumo, Ookuninushi. Meeting Kaguya helps him become a brave man who bears the weight of his nation on his shoulders.

 

Momotaro (folklore): A famous hero from Japanese folklore. The Prince of Hyuga, Momotaro. The heir apparent from the Hyuga nation seeks a powerful centralized government, and opposes Kaguya and Ookuninushi.

 

Amaterasu and Susanoo (mythology): The ware between these two great nations angered the Gods.

 

Yamatanoorochi (Tatarigami): The strongest monster in Japanese mythology, Yamatanoorochi. Fight a deadly battle for the fate of Mizuho.

 

Hinotori (Tatarigami): This Tatarigami lost its mind due to its anger at humanity, and lashes out with its fire.

 

GOD WARS Future Past is set to come out for PS4 and PS Vita in North America on June 20 and in Europe on June 16. More information is available at the official website.
