A new "virtual coaster" attraction is coming to the J-WORLD amusement park in Tokyo in July of 2017, and it allows guests to experience the thrill of soaring through the skies of the world of Dragon Ball Z while riding on Son Goku's kinto'un cloud (known as the "Flying Nimbus" in the English version).
The "ZENKAI Kinto'un" ride uses a combination of a 3D movie projected onto a dome that covers the entire field of vision, 3D glasses, and gimmicks to create winds and mists to immerse guests in the world of Dragon Ball Z. The story of the attraction involves Son Goku escorting the cloud-riders from the top of Karin Tower to the entrance of the Tenkaiichi Budokai martial arts tournmaent.
Up to 2 people can ride the "ZENKAI Kinto'un" attraction at a time. Guests must be at least 4 years old to experience the ride, and one trip on the Flying Nimbus costs 800 yen ($7.18 US). The "ZENKAI Kinto'un" attraction will be part of the Dragon Ball area of J-WORLD Tokyo beginning on July 15, 2017.
