A new key visual has been released for Action Heroine Cheer Fruits, an upcoming original TV anime about a group of high school girls banding together as "local heroines" and performing action stage shows in order to revitalize their sleepy farming town.
In Action Heroine Cheer Fruits, Japan is experiencing a "local heroine" craze in which young ladies dress up and put on action hero stage shows in order to drum up tourism for their towns. The fad is so popular that it's inspired a national competition to determine which local heroines put on the best show. Hinano-city, a rural town known for growing fruit, is late to the game in adopting a local heroine, but high school student Misaki Shirogane aims to change that with the help of her friends.
Action Heroine Cheer Fruits is directed by Keizō Kusakawa and features animation by Diomedéa. The series will broadcast on TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting System) every Thursday at 2:28 AM JST beginning on July 06, 2017, with a follow-up broadcast on BS-TBS that will air every Saturday at 1:30 AM JST beginning on July 08, 2017.
