Fighting game players' Power Scouts just flared up as Bandai Namco has prepared an announcement that an early 2018 release is planned for Dragon Ball Fighters, a 2.5D fighting game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC developed by Arc System Works of Guilty Gear fame. "Ultra high speed battles" and "flashy special moves" are promised in a game that producer Tomoko Hiroki says will take advantage of the format that wouldn't be possible in the 3D of other recent DB games or in 2D.
The press release revealing this was supposed to go out on June 12th and was pulled after going out early.
