Dig into the New "Luna-tan" Smartphone Anime PV

Production I.G's new Tate Anime app is making it even easier to take anime on the go, featuring short-form series made specifically for watching on your phone. Among them is Luna-tan, based (appropriately) on a smartphone game. And here's your first look!

The original game, Luna-tan: Giant Luna and the Journey to the Center of the Earth, cast you as Yona, a tiny excavator awakened after 10,000 years of cold sleep. Together with a giant robot named Luna and some cute animal friends, you begin excavating what is left of your society after an ancient tsunami.

Luna-tan ~The Secret of 10,000 Years~ adapts the game's story, following the strange creatures Mogyuko and Toriiruka as they attempt to return to the surface. With the help of Yona, Luna, and a hedgehog named Harry, they may just have a chance.

The new trailer also features the show's theme, "Dreamy Lights," performed by Rie Murakawa.

Tate Anime launched today, and is available for download in Japan on iPhone or Android.
