Every winter, Good Smile holds a contest to let fans design a new Hatsune Miku, which will be incorporated into official artwork and a Nendoroid. They've just announced the theme for this winter's contest, and it's a little odd.
The theme? Grass, flowers and trees in Hokkaido's winter. It'd be perfect for a springtime theme, if they hadn't slapped the word winter in at the end.
There are two contests: one to design the Miku nendo, which will also be used in the official art, and one for Miku's pet rabbit sidekick. The contest kicked off April 18th and runs through May 7th. That's not a lot of time. Entries can be made at the official contest page. The winners will be announced May 16th in the "Hatsune Miku no Jikan: 6th Period" broadcast.
Last year's Snow Miku contest was magical girl themed, and the witch design won.
So what do you think? Digging the new design, or is it kinda strange?
