Nihon TV announced on April 28 that the TV anime special GJ Club @, the sequel of the 12-episode 2013 TV anime adaptation of Shin Araki’s light novel series GJ Club, will be broadcasted exclusively on its BS channel BS Nittele at 26:30 on May 5 (02:30 am on May 6). The Blu-ray/DVD of the episode will be released in Japan nine days later on May 14. The 46-minute TV special tells the graduation trip of the members of GJ Club to America.
The two-disc BD/DVD set contains the TV special episode and the “GJ-Bu no Ongakusai (GJ Club’s Music Festival)” event featuring the main voice actor and actresses (Hiro Shimono, Maaya Uchida, Yume Miyamoto, Suzuko Mimori, Chika Arakawa), which was held at Science Museum in Tokyo on May 19, 2013. The set also comes with a 36-page booklet (including a new novel by Araki), illustrated box by the novel’s original illustrator Aruya, and photo cards.
In addition, a two-disc music album “Good Job no Ongaku ‘@’,” which includes seven newly-recorded
character songs and nine BGMs for the TV special, will be released on the same day with the Blu-ray/DVD.
