Joo-won to Play Lead in Korean "Nodame Cantabile"

Joo-won (Good Doctor, Gaksital) has been tapped to play the male lead in the Korean remake of Nodame Cantabile, with talk around the project suggesting Shim Eun-kyung (Miss Granny, Sunny) will play the female lead on the live-action drama, planned for an October broadcast on KBS.

Earlier this year, Korean's Naver  reported that broadcast sources have told them that Group 8, which produced Korean live-action dramas based on Boys Over Flowers, Princess Hours, and Playful Kiss, was now planning a K-drama adaptation of manga Nodame Cantabile.

Tomoko Ninomiya's 2001 manga follows an arrogant perfectionist studying at a college of music who becomes involved with an eccentric, but talented pianist. It's previously been adapted into anime, live-action Japanese drama and live-action movies.
