With this week's release of volume 11, plans for Sui Ishida's 2011 Young Jump suspense manga Tokyo Ghoul have been updated. Now scheduled to air on Tokyo MX starting in July, four new cast members have been announced.
They join Natsuki Hanae and Sora Amamiya, who star as Ken Kaneki and Toka Kirishima, a pair of college friends who develop a theory about ghouls, imitating humans perpetrating a string of strange murders. Hanazawa Kana voices Rize Kamishiro, a young woman hanging around the local cafe with eyes on the male lead.
Shuhei Morita (Freedom, Possessions) directs with playwright/stage director Chuji Mikasano writing, Kazuhiro Miwa (Heroman, Gosick) as animation director/character designer. Pierrot produces the project.
Additions include
Shuu Tsukiyama - Mamoru Miyano
Yoshimura - Takayuki Sugou
Hinami Fueguchi - Sumire Morohoshi
Koutarou Amon - Katsuyuki Konishi
