We're living in an age of bishoujo battleships. KanColle celebrates its one year anniversary on April 23rd, and it's amazing to see the degree to which it's won over otaku in that time. While it doesn't have much of a dominating presence, Arpeggio of Blue Steel hasn't done too badly either. Convenience store chain Lawson will be running a collaboration between April 22 and May 5.
Fans who buy beverages can pick up prizes including a clearfile, vinyl teddy Kirishima in store uniform, t-shirt and beach cushion, signed tapestry and tickets for a live event featuring Trident - the actress unit formed for the anime by Mai Fuchigami (Iona), Manami Numakura (Takao), and Hibiku Yamamura (Haruna).
Speaking of the series, a mook (magazine/book) is set to hit Japan on the 18th. This Official Log recounts the series stories with commentary, including a detailed look at the battles and strategies, as well as interviews with the cast and staff.
