VIDEO: Latest PV for Isao Tomita's “Symphony Ihatov” Blu-ray Featuring Hatsune Miku

To promote the upcoming release of the "Isao Tomita Symphony Ihatov” Blu-ray in Japan, Nippon Columbia has posted a 3 minutes 30 seconds digest video of the BD on its official YouTube channel. The video features the singer Hatsune Miku's clear images and a glimpse of anime footage inspired by Kenji Miyazawa's Night on the Galactic Railroad. The footage is created by Japanese digital painting illustrator KAGAYA for the disc.

The most famous vocaloid character Hatsune Miku performed with 300 members of the Japan Philharmonic Orchestra and chorus groups for Isao Tomita's “Symphony Ihatov” concert tour last year. 81-year-old Tomita, who is known as one of the pioneers of electronic music in Japan, wanted to feature the digital diva for his concerts based on the novel world by Kenji Miyazawa, a Japanese novelist in the early twentieth century. The BD disc, which is scheduled to be released on March 19,

contains the concert at Bunkamura Orchard Hall in Tokyo on September 15, 2013.

The cover illustration of the BD is drawn by internationally-renowned artist Hajime Sorayama, who is known

for his illustration for American rock band Aerosmith' 2001 album "Just Push Play."
