The official site for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Dai Shiina's Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii (Still World is Beautiful) shoujo manga has announced its main staff. The 2014 April TV series is produced by Studio Pierrot and directed by 56-year-old Hajime Kamegaki, who is known for his 2007 film Naruto Shippuden the Movie and 2013 mega-hit film Lupin the 3rd vs. Detective Conan: The Movie. Ichiro Uno (episode animation director for Hajime no Ippo New Challenger) designs the anime characters. Check the anime character designs for the two main characters, Nike and Livi below.
The story follows Nike, the daughter of the ruling family of the the Rain Dukedom who is sent to marry the younger king of the Sun Kingdom, Livi/Livius I. Livius. So far six tankobon volumes have been published from Hakusensha's Hana to Yume Comics.
