"Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS" Shows Its Hand with Cast and Character Announcements

Fans aren't taking kindly to the delayed release of Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS, but the time is being used to roll out announcements. We now have some new visuals and information clueing us in on what exactly is going on in cyberspace.

New character setting art gives us a better look at protagonist Yusaku Fujiki in the real world and within Link VRAINS, the cyberspace Duel field of the new series. In the latter, Yusaku goes by the handle "Playmaker." He's described as "cool-headed and clever," good at reading his opponents, and an intelligent hacker.

Yusaku will be voiced by newcomer Shouya Ishige, who has so far had minor roles in Seiren and Orange.

Art has also been released showing us more of Go Onizuka (left) and Aoi Zaizen (right). Go Onizuka, who duels under the name GO, is Yusaku's rival. Aoi is a classmate of Yusaku's and duels under the name Blue Angel.

Additionally, more information is now available about the special preceding the premiere. The full title is Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS Full Analysis! Yu-Gi-Oh!
