New and Improved "Eureka Seven" DVD/BD Box Coming to Japan

Before now, fans only had one go at getting the Japanese DVD box of Eureka Seven, since it was a limited run. But with the Hi-Evolution film trilogy on the horizon, a new two-volume set is ready to release, with brand new extras.

Volume 1 will contain episodes 1-26, with episodes 27-50 in Volume 2. In addition, each box set will feature brand new cover art by character designer Kenichi Yoshida (to be debuted at a later date). Volume 1 will contain creditless OP/ED, including a creditless version of episode 26. Volume 2 will contain creditless versions of episodes 33 and 50, as well as footage from Sony Music Anime Fes.06 and the alternate ending, "New Order," created from the staged reading there.

Each volume of the BD set will be 18,000 yen (about $165.13), and each volume of the DVD set will be 17,000 yen (about $155.96). Volume 1 will be released on August 29, with Volume 2 following on September 27.

The first film in the Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution trilogy will be released in Japan before the end of the year.
