The first-ever live-action adaptation of Gintama is set to hit theaters in Japan this July, and coming with it is a new theme supplied by six-person rock band UVERworld. The group has previously performed themes for Blue Exorcist, Gundam 00, and D.Gray-man, to name a few.
The title of the film's theme has been decided, and it's... "DECIDED." According to vocalist and composer Takuya∞, the band wants the theme to be something of a "detonating agent" for the audience's journey into the live-action world of the popular series. He also says he was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of staff and cast involved in the making of the movie.
Gintama will be released in theaters in Japan on July 14.
