Age-Bending Story Concludes in "ReLIFE: Kanketsuhen" OAVs

Announced at a special event held on April 23, 2017, at the Kawaguchi Lilia venue in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture, Japan, the story of the ReLIFE anime adaptation will be brought to a conclusion with a 4-part OAV series entitled ReLIFE: Kanketsuhen ("Concluding Story") that will be released on Bluray and DVD in Japan in March of 2018.

 

 

A preview video for ReLIFE: Kanketsuhen has been released. Aside from the release schedule and the fact that the story will pick up after the conclusion of the ReLIFE TV series, few details about the production are currently known.

 

 

The original ReLIFE manga by Yayoiso is serialized in Earth Star Entertainment's comico digital magazine, and an English language version is also available via Crunchyroll. Crunchyroll also streams the 2016 ReLIFE TV anime, which is directed by Tomo Kosaka and features animation by TMS Entertainment. Crunchyroll describes the story of ReLIFE as follows:

 

"Arata Kaizaki (27) quit the job he landed after graduation in only three months. His life did not go well after that. Now his parents are threatening to stop sending money, and want him to come back to the country. He has no friend or girlfriend to share his troubles with...as he hits rock bottom a strange man named Ryo Yoake appears. Yoake invites Kaizaki to join a societal rehabilitation program for NEETs called ReLife. This program uses a mysterious drug to make him look younger, and sends him back to high school for a year..."
