Hyouka, the 2012 Kyoto Animation produced TV anime adaptation of Honobu Yonezawa's school mystery novel is one of the increasingly rare, notable, modern anime never licensed for American release. That might be finally changing as Funimation has Tweeted out a reference to its "Watashi kininarimasu!", which is often translated as "I'm curious!" catchphrase.
Hyouka follows the mystery solving efforts of Kamiyama High School's Classic Literature Club, focused on Hōtarō Oreki, a keenly deductive boy who aims to pragmatically avoid wasting energy and the intensely curious girl Eru Chitanda.
