angela Performs Opening Theme for "Aho-Girl"

Japanese pop group angela will be releasing their 26th single in Japan on July 05, 2017, and the as-yet-untitled song will also serve as the opening theme for Aho-Girl, an upcoming TV anime based on the manga by Hiroyuki about a cheerful but foolish high school girl with a fondness for bananas.

Serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine, Aho-Girl follows the exploits of Yoshiko Hanabatake, an energetic high school girl who is not particularly bright and also socially oblivious. Yoshiko loves bananas, and she loves her childhood friend, Akuru Akutsu, but "Akkun" and his friends are frequently annoyed by Yoshiko's clueless antics.

Aho-Girl is directed by Keizō Kusakawa and Shingo Tamaki and features animation by diomedéa. The series begins its Japanese broadcast in July of 2017.
