Survival Horror Game Series "Siren" Gets New Manga Adaptation

Sony's survival horror series Siren—developed by SCE Japan Studio's Project Siren team—has been around for a decade. To celebrate the anniversary, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan jumped on Twitter to announce a new manga adaptation.

The new series, Siren: The Call of the Red Sea, is being illustrated by Wataru Kamio, a fresh face on the horror manga scene. Series veterans, including director Keiichiro Toyama and scenario writer Naoko Sato, are overseeing the completely new storyline.

The series kicks off with a preview in the spring issue of quarterly manga magazine Shin Mimibukuro Atmos, out now in Japan, after which it will continue in multiple parts in issues published in July, October, and December.

Siren was previously adapted in 2005's Siren: Eternal Siren manga.
