The selection of free games PlayStation Plus members in Europe will receive in May has been announced, and no matter whether you own a PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, or PlayStation Vita, you’ve got at least one game coming to you next month.
Two free games will be available during May for PlayStation 3. The first of these is first-person shooter Payday 2, which, much like its Heat-inspired predecessor, lets players play through a variety of heists, ranging from convenience stores to banks. Also free on PS3 will be Puppeteer, a platformer made by SCE Japan Studio and released last September.
PlayStation Vita likewise gets two free games. Muramasa Rebirth, the Vita port of Vanillaware’s gorgeous Wii action-RPG, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, is the first of the two. The other is the latest entry in Sony’s long-running golf series, Everybody’s Golf, better known as Hot Shots Golf in North America.
PlayStation 4 gets just a single free Plus game in May, the soon-to-be-released Stick it to the Man. Originally released on PlayStation 3 and Vita last year, the platforming-adventure game is being brought to PS4 later this month in Europe and early May in North America. In Europe, it will be available to Plus members at launch for free, though it will not be available as a cross-buy title with the PS3 and Vita versions.
These five games will enter Europe’s PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection just prior to the start of May, on April 30. At the same time, five previous Plus games–Mercenary Kings, Pro Evolution Soccer 2014, BioShock Infinite, Hotline Miami, and MotoGP 13–will leave the service.
An announcement regarding the free PlayStation Plus games for North American members is expected sometime this week.
