Last year, Funasshii, the “pear fairy,” “unofficial” mascot of Funabashi, Chiba, was named in 2013's“Regional Mascot General Election." You'll see why this hyper-action guy has become a viral sensation in his promo appearance for this weekend's premiere of the Bodacious Space Pirates: Abyss of Hyperspace anime movie.
The two, relatively more subdued mascots accompanying Funasshii are Shibuya Flower Project mascot Kumokkuru and Tokyo's Togoshi Ginza shopping district mascot Gin-chan.
voice actors theme song singer Shokotan, Matsukaze Masaya, Hisako Kanemoto, and Mikako Komatsu, writer Yuichi Sasamoto and director Tatsuo Sato doing their part to launch the movie.
