VIDEO: "Say, 'I Love You'" Live-Action Film Teaser

The official site for the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Kanae Hazuki's popular shojo manga Suki-tte Ii na yo/Say, "I Love You." today posted a 30-second teaser featuring a kiss scene between Haruna Kawaguchi (as Mei Tachibana) and Sota Fukushi (Yamato Kurosawa). The film written/directed by 35-year-old female director Asako Hyuga will be released in Japan on July 12.


 


The manga has been serialized in Kodansha's monthly female manga magazine Dessert since its April 2008 issue and so far 11 tankobon volumes have been published in Japan. The publisher has produced more than 5.3 million copies of the manga tankobon. The 13-episode TV anime series produced by Zexcs was also aired from October to December 2012. The film tells a love story between Mei Tachibana who has spent her 16-year life without boyfriends and Yamato Kurosawa, the most popular boy in school.
