VIDEO: "Crows Explode" Live-Action Film Trailer Shows New Level of High School Violence

Crows Explode, the third and latest installment of the live-action film adaptations of Hiroshi Takahashi's high school delinquent manga series will be finally released in Japan on April 12. The story is set one month after the second film Crows Zero II and tells new conflicts between gangs who want to be the top of Suzuran All-Boys High School.

Following Takashi Miike who directed the first two film Crows Zero (2007) and Crows Zero II (2009), 44-year-old Toshiaki Toyoda helms the film with all-new cast. The director is best known for his 2002 film Aoi Haru, which was based on Taiyo Matsumoto's manga short story of the same name. Unfortunately for his career, Toyoda was arrested for the violation of Stimulants Control Act in August 2005. Crows Explode is his fourth comeback film after Yomigaeri no Chi (2009), Monsters Club (2012), and I’M FLASH! (2012).
